About Me

Hi, I’m Delaney, and I believe that stories hold immense power – the stories we’re living, the stories we tell ourselves and the stories we’ve had put upon us by others.

As an openly queer couples therapist in Nashville, I understand just how hard it can be to navigate relationships in a system that doesn’t always value our stories. In my work with clients, I aim to help partners of all backgrounds and relationship structures find their own versions of relational health and create shared narratives that align with who they are and what they believe.

I am trained in the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT) and strive to help couples develop the skills they need to function more securely while honoring the purpose and vision of their relationship.

In addition to supporting clients looking to craft new relationship stories, I am passionate about supporting the many storytellers that make up middle Tennessee’s creative community. As a proud graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, I am passionate about helping actors, musicians, dancers, writers, filmmakers and other artists cope with the emotional and practical challenges associated with being vulnerable for a living.

If you’re ready to take back control of your narrative and start creating a story that aligns with your values — whether as a couple or as an individual — I would love the opportunity to learn more about your goals.

Couples Counseling

I help couples break out of unproductive conflict and communication cycles. I specialize in working with queer and sapphic couples who may have lacked positive relationship role models earlier in life.

Couples Intensives

I offer extended, intensive couples sessions for clients working through acute issues like separation, grief, trauma, etc. Intensive session are also a great option for pre-marital couples seeking a time-limited counseling option.

I may be a good fit for you if:

  • You're in a queer or sapphic relationship and want to work with a couple's therapist who has lived experience navigating these particular dynamics.
  • You're an actor who regularly experiences the strain of embodying big and vulnerable emotions.
  • You're a musician, songwriter, dancer or other creative who's struggling to make art while attempting to manage all of life's other demands.
  • You're an individual who often feels different, weird, lonely or like you're "not good enough."
  • You're looking for a Nashville-based therapist who's actually down with the gays and won't bait-and-switch you with a religious approach to counseling.
